About Me

I’m Shayla, the one woman show behind 45 Midwest! I started my business in the Spring of 2022 and it has been such a fun adventure ever since.

A little about me;

I love coffee, cats and creating!

I live in Michigan with my husband, daughter and our two cats. We love to play games, travel and always make time for sweet treats!

Before starting my business I earned my RN degree in 2016. Although I have never worked as a nurse, I still keep my license up to date. Shortly after graduating I had my daughter and became a stay-at-home mom. I love creating and for a long time dreamed of owning my own business where I could do that. My husband has always been my number one supporter, and as our daughter got closer to being in school he encouraged me to go for it. It took me a couple of years to find something that I truly loved and felt “right” to me for my business. Once I found polymer clay I knew that it was right.

I have learned and grown SO much over the past few years and I’m excited to see what the future holds for me and 45 Midwest.
